DESCRIPTION. PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC is an elastomeric premium quality white sealing compound designed for use in the waterproofing of roof flashings. PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC is reinforced with polyester fibers for maximum strength and durability while remaining flexible.

USES. PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC can be used as a patching compound or flashing mastic for sealing around roof penetrations, pipes, skylights, ductwork, or filling gaps in parapet walls with excellent adhesion to most roofing substrates. PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC can also be used in conjunction with a polyester fabric for added strength around penetrations, drains, scuppers, and skylights.

SURFACE PREPARATION. Roof substrates must be clean, dry, free of all debris, and any contaminates which would impede proper adhesion. A pressure wash is recommended, if a pressure washer is not available a cleaning agent should be used in conjunction with hose and broom washing. In addition to pressure washing, a wire brush should be used to remove any surface rust on metal roofing systems. Metal panels where the structural integrity has been compromised should be removed and replaced with like panels. Over aluminum roof coating, apply one coat of PRODUCT NO. 295-G STAIN SHIELD or PRODUCT NO. 297-X XTREME prior to the application of PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC. Over TPO, EPDM, and PVC apply one coat of PRODUCT NO. 297-X X-TREME prior to the application of PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC. A bleach and water solution (1 part bleach to 2 parts water) should be used to treat any roof areas that have mildew or algae. All roof surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and allowed to dry completely prior to application of any Perma-Tech Roofing restoration products.

APPLICATION. Proper protective clothing and PPE should be worn when applying products. It is normal to see a small amount of separation when first opening a pail. If necessary, gently mix the product with a trowel or paddle mixer, being careful to not introduce air into the product during mixing. PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC can be applied with a stiff paint brush or trowel in conjunction with a polyester fabric for reinforcement. Do not dilute product. While PRODUCT NO. 510 REINFORCED ACRYLIC MASTIC is white and UV stable, to extend its life it is recommended that it be coated by one of Perma-Tech Roofing topcoats. Perma-Tech Roofing Products should not be applied when freezing temperatures or rain is expected within 24 hours of completed application. During application, roof surface temperatures should be between 40 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit, with no moisture present.

DO NOT APPLY TO ANY SURFACES THAT CONTAIN SILICONE.

CLEAN-UP. Clean brushes, tools, and other equipment with warm soapy water immediately after use. Dried film may require paint remover.
